Does InsurTech Enhance Firm Performance? Evidence from Chinese Insurers

This replication package provides the code, documentation, and structured datasets required to reproduce the principal empirical results reported in the paper. The sample is drawn from property and life insurers operating in China from 2017 to 2022. Insurer level financial, technological, and regional data are compiled from the “Thirteen Actuaries” database, the China Insurance Yearbook, Qichacha, the PKU Digital Financial Inclusion Index of China, the China Regional Innovation Capacity Evaluation Report, and public disclosures. The package is designed to promote transparency and support independent verification of the study’s empirical analyses.
