This data was collected as part of the longitudinal 'Life Patterns' study based at the Youth Research Centre, the University of Melbourne. In Wave 8, 774 participants aged about 29 years completed a survey. The questionnaire contained 33 questions covering satisfaction with achievements, expectations, commitments and goals; work situations, including job type, mobility and commitment; and desirable characteristics of career, life activities, life priorities and satisfaction.
