The aim of this work was to compare the clinical features associated with ampicillin-susceptible (EFM-S) or ampicillin-resistant (EFM-R) Enterococcus faecium and to help in their rapid identification. To address this issue we combined clinical data review, whole-genome sequencing and MALDI-TOF mass spectrometry.
