资源简介:
Four drifting wave buoys, 2 SOFAR Spotters and 2 OpenMetBuoys (OMB) mounted on a floating structure named Medusa, were deployed in the Lutzow-Holm Bay during the 63rd Japanese Antarctica Research Expedition (JARE63). The buoys were deployed on 4 Feb 2022. This was an experimental observation of the OMBs in the Antarctica environment. While 1 Spotter and 1 OMB stopped in February and March unrelated to battery life, 1 Spotter survived until mid Apr and 1 OMB survived the southern winter until Dec.
The OMB details are provided in Rabault et al. 2022 method paper (https://doi.org/10.3390/geosciences12030110).
