This dataset is the spatial distribution data of remotely sensed image classified and demarcated forest vegetation types in Jiangsu Province from 2013 to 2017, with a scale of 1:100,000. It was derived from the China Forest Vegetation Survey Project of the Research Institute of Forest Resources Information Techniques, Chinese Academy of Forestry. The project was compiled based on partial historical vegetation distribution maps, forest distribution maps, 2012 TM data, 1990s TM data, field sample plot survey data and other relevant materials, and was strictly processed in accordance with the relevant provisions of the *Specification for Forest Vegetation Classification, Survey and Mapping* (2019). This is a vector dataset containing attribute fields such as forest order subgroup, forest order, forest series group and other categories. This dataset provides data support for forest resource surveys, planning and design and other related work.
