Bursaphelenchus Xylophilus

Samples of the Chinese indigenous Pinewood Nematode (Bursaphelenchus xy-lophilus) were collected from various regions across China. In the northern region, sam-ples (n = 11) were collected from different cities within Shenyang Province. Shenyang, sit-uated in the temperate climate zone, experiences significant monsoonal influence year-round. It has a mean annual temperature of 8.1 ºC, with recorded extremes ranging from -28.5 ºC to 24.7 ºC, making it considerably cooler than most southern Chinese cities. In the southern region, samples (n = 2) were collected from Anhui and Jiangxi prov-inces, both characterized by a humid subtropical climate with no dry season. These re-gions have an average annual temperature of 20.72 ºC, which is 6.1% higher than the na-tional average. The temperature in these provinces ranges from a low of 5.9 ºC to a high of 35.1 ºC (https://en.climate-data.org/asia/china). In total, 13 samples of Chinese indigenous Pinewood Nematode were gathered, each sample adapted to its unique agro-climatic and ecological environment.
