Polygonatum odoratum (Mill.) Druce

Polygonatum odoratum (Mill.) Druce (P. odoratum) is a well-known traditional Chinese herb. Polysaccharide is one of the main bioactive components in P. odoratum, with the wide pharmacologic effects of improving immunity, treating rheumatic heart diseases, cardiovascular diseases and diabetes. The aim of this study is to identify potential genes and transcription factors (TFs) regulating polysaccharide synthesis by using RNA- sequencing on P. odoratum leaf, stem and rhizome tissues.
