LifeManifold Q1 journal revision: protocols and claim-driving artifacts

This deposit archives protocols and claim-driving experiment artifacts for the LifeManifold study of asymmetric surrogate value in LLM-guided MAP-Elites: whether a shared surrogate should attach before generation (soft prompt-side advice) or after generation (hard evaluation gating). The snapshot includes dated experiment protocol files (Q1 v2–v5), confirmatory and supporting tiers used in the journal manuscript (primary-grid H1/H2/H4, maze H5, gray-zone H3 path, and selected appendix packages), surrogate checkpoints referenced in the paper, and a freeze-to-artifact timeline. It is an integrity snapshot tied to the public GitHub repository Starovoitov/LifeManifold at commit 6d07dcdecf6471ea633342163ddd7450dde40fbc (tag journal-v1), not a prospective OSF/Zenodo pre-registration of runs that had already been executed. Confirmatory analysis rules were frozen per family in repository protocol files relative to each family’s analysis window; later protocol rows add extensions or reporting statuses and do not silently rewrite earlier Holm/NI families. Code, schedulers, and analysis entry points remain in the GitHub repository; this record supplements that pin with the heavy experimental outputs needed for audit and reproduction of the reported contrasts.
