资源简介:
Plant genome sizes vary by more than 2000-fold between the smallest and largest recorded values. To investigate the basis of genome size evolution, we analysed the repeat content of species of Fritillaria, a genus in the lily family (Liliaceae; monocotyledons). Reported genome size values in diploid Fritillaria vary between c. 30 and c. 85 Gb. We conducted low-pass 454 sequencing of multiple Fritillaria species to capture the most highly repeated components of their genomes, to identify sequences involved in extreme genome size expansions. In addition to the data included in this ENA study, further 454 reads for Fritillaria affinis and F. imperialis (one plate each) can be accessed via the following link: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/x20cugye5xcoitk/AAAx0QDghSYxxhi4Vh1BCTeTa?dl=0 These datasets are available as fasta format only and therefore are not included in this ENA submission.
