Kazachstania aerobia and Kazachstania servazzii Genome sequencing and assembly. Kazachstania

Full genome sequence of Kazachstania aerobia and Kazachstania servazzii both of which have been shown to contribute to ester production during winemaking. In our previous studies we have reported on the ability of Kazachstania spp. to consistently increase acetate ester concentration, most notably phenylethyl and isoamyl acetate. In this study Kazachstania aerobia and Kazachstania servazzii were sequenced with PacBio and annotated genomes were compared to Saccharomyces cerevisiae strains EC1118 and S288C.
