Structural studies of various proteins in Uppsala and Stockholm

The Block Allocation Group (BAG) includes projects for protein structure-based studies at Uppsala University, the Swedish University for Agricultural Sciences (SLU), KTH, Stockholm, and Karolinska Institut, Stockholm under the canopy of Professor Stefan D Knight (UU). A broad range of scientific topics are covered, including but not limited to antibiotics resistance, drug development aiming at new antibiotics, photosynthesis, carbohydrate synthesis and degradation, enzymology, protein evolution, transcription, chromatin remodelling, metal homeostasis, spider silk, and molecular chaperones.
