资源简介:

Cruise JR03 occupied 26 days from 2 to 28 January 1993. It was the first marine biological cruise on RRS James Clark Ross wholly mounted by the Marine Life Sciences division of the British Antarctic Survey. The two main objectives of the cruise were: The establishment of sampling stations along a transect, running out some 50 nautical miles from the north coast of South Georgia. And, the measurement of copepod egg production rates, larval fish surveys and target fishing for krill. Time loss was minimal due to good weather conditions and few problems were encountered with the ships winches. Minor difficulties were experienced with the ships propulsion units, for a period, this did not unduly hinder the science.
