This proposal aims to study the diffraction patterns from the single crystals of Ti3O5 prepared using Focussed Ion Beam techniques. The use of FIB technique allows the fabrication of well defined single crystal samples ensuring homogeneous laser excitation throughout the crystal depth. This is crucial for understanding the mechanism of photo-induced phase transition at the level of individual crystallites. Static diffraction measurements willl be performed to evaluate the quality and orientation of the crystals. Subsequently, the crystals will be photoexcited with 800 nm laser to understand the nature of photoinduced signal to follow the structural changes.
