We designed long amplicon primers and evaluated the performance of short (ARTIC) plus long amplicon (MRL) based sequencing approach to detect the mutations. We optimized the sequencing assay on VR-1986D-ATCC RNA and then analyzed nasopharyngeal swab specimens from five COVID-19 positive (RT-PCR ct values <30) patients.
