Comparative genomics of Trichosporon austroamericanum and related yeast species across the Trichosporonaceae

We performed whole-genome sequencing of 16 yeast strains, including three bloodstream-derived isolates of Trichosporon austroamericanum and 13 related strains purchased from the Japan Collection of Microorganisms (JCM). The dataset encompasses multiple genera within the Trichosporonaceae family, including Trichosporon, Apiotrichum, and Cutaneotrichosporon. Genome assemblies were generated using Oxford Nanopore sequencing, followed by polishing and assessment of completeness. This dataset provides a foundation for comparative genomic and taxonomic studies of yeasts in the Trichosporonaceae.
