The Tibetan Plateau is known as the Asian Water Tower, and the change in its surface water distribution is a vital parameter in the water cycle and water balance. Based on collecting high-precision land surface water samples, the random forest classification algorithm in machine learning is used to extract land surface water information from Landsat series satellite images, and produce land surface water product with a resolution of 30 meters on the Tibetan Plateau in 2022. This dataset can provide foundational data support for water resource management, ecosystem services, and global change research in the Tibetan Plateau.
