Symbiosis limits establishment of legumes outside their native range at a global scale

This page contains contains data files on legume trait data extracted from ILDIS (https://www.ildis.org/) and nodulation symbiosis trait data from Werner et al. (2014), https://www.nature.com/articles/ncomms5087, which was analyzed for publication in Simonsen et al. (2017), https://www.nature.com/articles/ncomms14790 and used in other subsequent publications. <br> "inv_dat_by_species_full_interp_w_uses_merged.csv" describes one dataset from Simonsen et al. (2017), where each row describes a legume species, all associated trait data (i.e. symbiotic nodule formation, annual vs. perrenial, etc) and species-level global distribution data (aggregated from presence/absence occurence in associated TDWG polygons). For descriptions of the global distribution patterns in native vs non-native ranges, species-level aggregated data on presence/absence is summarized by polygon counts within each introduction status (native, or non-native).
