Digital Archive from an Archaeological Excavation at Westside Close, Old Sarum, Salisbury, Wiltshire, 2022

This collection comprises image, text, spreadsheet and GIS data from an Archaeological Excavation at Westside Close, Old Sarum, Salisbury, Wiltshire. The work was undertaken by Wessex Archaeology between February and March 2022. This was carried out in association with a proposed residential development and followed a previous evaluation which produced evidence of prehistoric activity. An approximately triangular area was targeted on the principal area of archaeological interest and a further two areas were intended to examine the potential for the continuation of archaeological remains to the north and east. The uncovered features comprising ditches, pits and postholes largely represent prehistoric activity.
