资源简介:
Acinetobacter baumannii is a microorganism with increasing highlight on the current Microbiology. The incidence of multiresistant A. baumannii infections has increased over the last decade. High mortality rates are observed in patients, and few therapeutic options are available for the treatment of infections caused by these species. The major drugs used to treat these infections are carbapenems, polymyxins (polymyxin B and colistin) and ampicillin-sulbactam, a combination of beta-lactam antibiotic and beta-lactamase inhibitor. The sulbactam has strong intrinsic activity against A. baumannii. However, there are few studies that evaluate the sulbactam resistance mechanisms as well as the total sequencing of the genome of this species. This study aims to: evaluate, using the total genome sequencing of isolates of A. baumannii, which are the sulbactam resistance mechanisms. Identify the sequence type of resistant isolates.
