RNA sequencing and immunostaining in hiPS-derived cardiomyocytes indicated that the oncometabolite R-2HG exacerbated doxorubicin mediated cardiotoxicity. Overall design: To validate whether R-2HG increases myocardial vulnerability to anthracyclines, we exposed human induced pluripotent stem cell (hiPS)-derived cardiomyocytes to 1µM doxorubicin (DOX) with or without the addition of R2-HG.
