During 2016-17 several gastroenteritis cases were observed in Northern Greece. Stool samples were sent to our lab for testing. Genetic material was extracted from all samples and a multiplex PCR capable to detect several viral pathogens was applied. Noroviruses GI and GII, Rotaviruses, Astroviruses and Adenoviruses were detected. NGS was applied on the positive samples.
