Dataset for developing the CLIMADA Model to assess spatially explicit direct flood damage to Austrian infrastructure at high resolution

This dataset accompanies the master's thesis "Modelling spatially explicit flood damage of Austrian infrastructure using CLIMADA" by Alexey Falkov (2025) from the Supply Chain Management programme at the Vienna University of Economics and Business (WU).The dataset includes a set of files required to initiate each component of the CLIAMDA Model as well as implement the custom extension: The "Hazard Module" archive includes simulations of flood depth and flood fraction for Austria for the period 2006-2100 under RCP2.6, RCP6.0 and RCP8.5 without protective measures (ISIMIP, 2024). The "Exposure module — asset" archive contains processed data on geocoded infrastructure objects in Austria, divided by type and varying degrees of granularity (Haberl et al., 2021). The "Exposure Module - value of assets" archive contains processed data on the value of Austrian infrastructure assets for building a baseline model (Eberenz, S., et al., 2020). The "Extension - critical infrastructure" archive contains updated data on the value of infrastructure assets in Austria, taking into account the custom extension. The "Use Case" archive contains data on the location and cost of the selected company's infrastructure for assessing the extent of potential flood damage as part of a risk management strategy. The code for the developed CLIMADA Model itself is available on GitHub.
