资源简介:
This thesis aims to design and test a novel running intervention in adults with chronic low back pain to determine whether running is suitable and if beliefs act as a barrier to participation. Following a 12-week running program, participants with chronic low back pain reported less pain intensity and disability compared to control. The running program demonstrated good feasibility and minimal adverse events. This thesis shows that a conservative, supported, and graded running program can be recommended to address negative beliefs about running, reduce activity avoidance, and increase participation in guideline-based physical activity among individuals with chronic low back pain.
