Functional metagenomics data from milkweed phyllospheres and rhizospheres

The functional profiles of phyllosphere and rhizosphere metagenomes differed across milkweed species (Asclepias curassavica, Asclepias syriaca, and Asclepias tuberosa). These dataset composed whole shotgun metagenomic sequencing reads per the treatment combinations of milkweeds species (Asclepias curassavica, Asclepias syriaca, and Asclepias tuberosa) and monarch caterpillar feeding (infested and not infested) for the phyllopsheres and rhizospheres.
