Original data used to calculate PCEC-EIs

Provincial GDP, year-end population, industrial added value, forestry land areas, construction land areas, and agricultural land areas were derived from the <em>China Statistical Yearbook 2020.</em> Provincial R &amp; D funding was obtained from the <em>2019 statistical bulletin of national science and technology investment. </em>The <em>China Energy Statistical Yearbook 2020 </em>provided data on provincial total energy consumption, coal-dominated energy consumption, gross electricity generation, and renewable electricity generation (including hydro, nuclear, wind, and solar). The provincial industrial and household energy consumption was calculated using the provincial energy balance sheet from the <em>China Energy Statistical Yearbook 2020</em> and the reference coefficients of various energy sources converted into standard coal provided by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.
