资源简介:
This dataset was generated in:
Schmidt, S., Muñoz, I. D., Yukihara, E. G., Vedelago, J. (2025). Fluorescent Nuclear Track Detectors for out-of-field neutron dosimetry in proton therapy. Submitted to Medical Physics.
Dataset overview:
This dataset contains fluorescence (“fl”) and reflection (“re”) microscopy images of alumina-based Fluorescent Nuclear Track Detectors (FNTDs). These detectors were used for calibration purposes.
Readout setup:
LET calibration: Mono-energetic ion beams on FNTDs
- 4 FNTDs per setup
- 49 x-y-images per detector
- 12 z-stack slices
- 2 channels
C12_89MeVu.zip (~ 2.2 GB unzipped)
H1_10MeVu.zip (~ 2.2 GB unzipped)
H1_14MeVu.zip (~ 2.2 GB unzipped)
H1_221MeVu.zip (~ 2.2 GB unzipped)
H1_48MeVu.zip (~ 2.2 GB unzipped)
H1_5MeVu.zip (~ 2.2 GB unzipped)
O16_104MeVu.zip (~ 2.2 GB unzipped)
Track polar angle correction: Mono-energetic ion beams on FNTDs. FNTDs were rotated in the horizontal plane to achieve irradiation with different track polar angles.
- 1 FNTDs per setup
- 36 x-y-images per detector
- 10 z-stack slices
- 2 channels
C12_430MeVu_0_10_30_60.zip (~0.4 GB unzipped)
C12_430MeVu_0_15_40_70.zip (~0.4 GB unzipped)
C12_430MeVu_0_5_20_50.zip (~0.4 GB unzipped)
A summary of the microscope readout is stored in the "Configuration.ini" file, which can be found in the same directory.
File naming convention:
Each image name follows the structure
FNTD_aa_ybb_xcc_zddee_f.png
where
aa = detector number (01, 02, ... )
bb = y index
cc = x index
dd = z slice index
ee = channel ("fl" or "re")
f = detector index (0, 1, 2, ...)
Note 1: To properly visualize 16-bit images, it may be necessary to apply intensity scaling (e.g. using ImageJ/FIJI). If not, the images might appear black.
Note 2: For the LET calibration, the perpendicular tracks from primary protons, carbon, or oxygen, are overlaid by alpha tracks from a Cm-244 source, which is used for a detector sensitivity correction.
