资源简介:
This metadata entry refers to measurements of oceanic methane made by Robin Keir and oceanic carbon dioxide made by Michel Frankignouelle during the Meteor 43_2 research cruise in the North Atlantic, as part of the Joint Global Ocean Flux Study (JGOFS) and Ocean Margin EXchange (OMEX) programmes. The cruise began on 28th December 1998 and ended on 14th January 1999 with the spatial coverage of +37N and +42N latitude and +9W and +11W longitude.
The data set consists of:
-146 measurements of the concentration of methane (CH4) per unit volume of the water column (dissolved plus reactive particulate phase) by gas chromatography;
-145 measurements of the saturation of methane (CH4) in the water column (dissolved phase), computed from concentration;
-169 measurements of the partial pressure of carbon dioxide (pCO2) in the water column, computed from pH and alkalinity; and
-169 measurements of the concentration of carbon (total inorganic) (TCO2) per unit volume of the water column (dissolved plus reactive particulate phase), computed from pH and alkalinity.
See below for further details.
