This dataset tabulates the microplastic measurements reported in Qadeer (2022, MPhil thesis, CUVAS Bahawalpur), covering surface water, bed sediment, and Cirrhinus mrigala collected from Head Panjnad (29.347842 N, 71.028484 E), Indus Basin, Pakistan, during 2021–2022.
The dataset includes four structured tables: Fish_Data (n=10), Water_Data (n=10), Sediment_Data (n=10), and FTIR_Data, along with a variable dictionary and metadata file.
Important note on data origin: The source thesis reports descriptive statistics rather than per-sample raw values, and original lab notebooks are not available. Therefore, per-sample values in this dataset have been reconstructed to match published descriptive statistics within approximately 1%. This dataset is intended to make the thesis findings machine-readable, citable, and reusable.
Sampling and analytical methods include KOH + HNO₃ digestion, Whatman filtration, stereomicroscopy, hot needle test, and FTIR spectroscopy (4000–400 cm⁻¹).
