Mass azithromycin administration forms a key element of the WHO Yaws elimination strategy, yet the long-term consequences of MDA on bacterial population structure are still poorly understood. We will sequence T. pallidum from a large Yaws MDA campaign to understand the population structure and transmission dynamics resulting from azithromycin selection.
