This dataset contains experimental study on the estimation of the overall mass transfer coefficient in three-phase Air Lift Reactor systems, based on data reported in peer-reviewed research papers. This contains a total of 420 data points collected from six peer-reviewed articles. The dataset covers both the three-phase External air lift reactor and the three-phase internal air lift reactor, and 6 different solid materials: Polypropylene, Polyvinyl chloride, polystyrene, nylon-6, aluminium oxide, and recycled plastic. A total of 40 variables were recorded. These cover: Reactor geometry and configuration (Height, type of distributors, area of riser), operating conditions (temperature, operating pressure, gas velocity), fluid phase properties (density of liquid, density of gas, surface tension) and solid phase properties (material used, density of material, shape of solid). The output variable of this dataset is the overall mass transfer coefficient (s-1). Each row denotes a single experimental value of study and can be traced back to its original figure in the cited article using the unique code given to each datapoint.
