Supporting data for the A&S New Frontier Grant project: "Engaging Multi-Scalar Dynamics in Trans-Asia Infrastructures"

This dataset contains detailed information on the power system infrastructure built and operated in Laos, Thailand, Malaysia, and Singapore (up to 2023). For each country, we report information on generation and transmission network. Data on generation include name (of the power plant), location (latitude and longitued), year of construction, fuel type, and maximum capacity. Data on transmission include name (of the high-voltage transmission line), max voltage, number of circuits, source and sink bus, distance, and corresponding substation(s). For each country, we report the steps taken to collect and process both generation and transmission data. All data are available as shapefiles. Note that transmission data are not available for Singapore.
