INTRODUCTION
Stratigraphic pollen samples were examined from three columns across the
site. Midden deposits are represented in some of the lower sairples, while upper
samples represent recent cxanstruction overburden. This site is located on the
northern side of the western San Bernardino Mountains at an elevation over 3000
feet. This site is situated on a terrace adjacent to Hbrsethief Crek and above
the Mojave River and represents an occupation approximately 3000 years old.
