Measuring the Waiting Majority: Male CT Demand Research in Europe
收藏资源简介:
Respondent-level survey data, instruments, fielded stimuli, and replication code from a cross-sectional web survey of male contraceptive demand in seven European countries. Study. A 10-minute web-based survey (CAWI) of 14,086 men aged 18 to 45, fielded May 29 to July 2, 2026 in Germany, France, Italy, Poland, Sweden, Türkiye, and the United Kingdom (about 2,000 completed interviews per country). Respondents were drawn from double opt-in online access panels with national age and region quotas. Eligible men were sexually active with at least one woman in the past 12 months, had no vasectomy or reported infertility, and had a female partner able to become pregnant. The instrument was a sequential monadic concept test: six male contraceptive product concepts (daily pill, daily gel, two on-demand pills, vas-occlusive hydrogel, silicone ring) shown one at a time in uniformly randomized order and rated on a five-point likelihood scale, followed by a forced choice with an on-demand duration follow-up, an eight-rung adoption-timing ladder, and open-ended willingness-to-pay questions. Post-stratification weights (age, marital status, employment, education, religious affiliation) benchmark each country sample to Eurostat and UN DESA figures. Ethics approval: Includovate Institutional Review Board, approval 500E26IRB. Funded by the Male Contraceptive Initiative through a grant to DesireLine, LLC. This record supports two papers. Files. One archive containing: the de-identified respondent-level dataset with weights (data/, N = 14,086); a variable-level data dictionary with the country, product, and presentation-order code maps; the English master questionnaire (xlsx and PDF); translated questionnaires (German, French, Italian, Polish, Swedish, Turkish), the six product profile screens as fielded, individually and assembled as a PDF with the introduction text shown to respondents in English and above translations; a Python script reproducing the methods paper's Tables 1 and 3 to 7 and the rating-stage order effects; and an Excel workbook reproducing the same tables as live formulas over the data. A README documents the study and files; LICENSE.txt states the licensing. De-identification. The dataset contains no direct identifiers. The respondent identifier is pseudonymous and panel-assigned; the research team holds no key linking it to identity. Geographic detail is limited to country. Panel consent to data collection and use was obtained under GDPR at registration, and study-specific informed consent online before screening. Reuse.
