Effect of cannabidiol oil on zebrafish larval microbiome

The use of cannabidiol oil products has increased in popularity and is predicted to grow steadily over the next decade. Given its relative stability. For this reason, it is crucial to understand the possible effect of cannabidiol on aquatic animals passively exposed to the molecule. Here, using zebrafish larvae as an experimental model system, we show that cannabidiol oil has a limited effect on larvae survival and on their host-associated microbiomes at concentrations previously shown to have a small effect on the animal's development.
