CASCADES Survey on the Effects of Climate Change in the Sahel Region (2020).

This dataset contains experts' opinions on the effects of climate change in the Western Sahel, particularly Niger and Mali. The data collected helps to understand how climate, development and security experts and elite stakeholders perceive climate change effects on current food security and conflicts in the zone. The data were collected through an online survey in October and November 2021 within the framework of H2020 EU funded project “CAScading Climate risks: towards ADaptive and resilient European Societies” (CASCADES, www.cascades.eu). The Barcelona Centre for International Affairs (CIDOB, www.cidob.org) developed the survey with the assistance of the Barcelona-based Research and Expertise Centre for Survey Methodology (RECSM, Pompeu Fabra University).
