調査における母集団は直近で実施された年度の世界農林業センサス結果の農家のうち、次の要項に該当するもの
一 その経営耕地面積が十アール（北海道にあっては、三十アール）以上であること。
二 調査の期間の開始の日前一年間における農業生産物の総販売額が農林水産大臣が告示で定める額以上であること。
The population of the survey consists of farmers from the most recent global agricultural and forestry census results, who meet the following criteria:
1. The operational cultivated land area is ten hectares (thirty hectares in Hokkaido) or more.
2. The total sales revenue of agricultural products within the one-year period prior to the start of the survey is above the amount specified by the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries in an announcement.
