AGN Feedback and Star Formation in the Cooling Flow Cluster RBS797

We propose to observe the Xray cavity cluster RBS797, in which radio emissionis seen on three different scales and orientations and a massive starburst isfound at its center. With the requested observation we aim to: 1) determine theglobal properties of the cluster (temperature, mass, luminosity) and assess itsconformity to scaling relations in order to investigate the potential impact ofAGN feedback; 2) compare cooling rate or limits with the star formation rate; 3)investigate the nature of the largescale radio emission by using the Xrayproperties as input to test the electron reacceleration model for the origin ofradio minihalos; 4) study the ICM enrichment process by means of a metallicitymap. truncated!, Please see actual data for full text [truncated!, Please see actual data for full text]
