MK376 Recorded by Subardi, head of the National Museum in Jayapura, in 1979 who gave permission for it to be digitised in MAMU. Collected by Margaret Kartomi in 1991. Side A Lagu iringan tari performed at the ETAI FESTIVAL by artists of the Suku Moni in Waghete, Kabupaten Paniai (central highlands). Girls dance (refined dance) on platform, get to know girl first, boys come up to propose marriage and bridge price, then talk to parents. Side B Lagu mengambil bintang padi (song to the padi star) in which the people of the Suku Wandamin pray for rain in the town of Nabire, Kabupaten Paniai. Famine, no rain. Singer requests rain from dewa. Found around Serui area, Cenderewasih Bay.
