For insecticides acting via direct contact it is generally accepted that the insecticide penetrates the insect's leg integument and enters the insect's circulatory system from where it is distributed to the target organs. This tudy characterises differentially expressed genes in the resistant legs, compared to the susceptible, and provides new information on whether leg-specific changes in resistant populations could contribute to the resistance phenotype.
