Digital Archive from a Historic Building Survey and Analysis of the Barn and Outbuildings at 13 Hall Gate, Diseworth, Leicestershire, 2007 and 2008

This collection comprises images, text, site records, and CAD data from a building survey of the barn and outbuildings to the north of 13 Hall Gate Diseworth, Leicestershire, prior to its conversion into residential property. AOC Archaeology Group carried out a level 2 historic building assessment on the 23rd of October 2007 and continued on the 15th of January 2008, undertaking a full measured survey of the cruck frames and a dendrochronological analysis on the timbers. The grade II listed barn, confirmed by the dendrochronological analysis, suggests that the cruck trusses are of 16th and 17th century date with the far south cruck (Cruck 1) being the earliest and probably part of the earlier farmhouse to the south.
