Technical Characteristics of the Austrian Lloyd Fleet: Selected Benchmark Years (1868, 1888, 1908)

This dataset contains structured technical information on vessels of the Österreichischer Lloyd/Lloyd Austriaco for three benchmark years (1868, 1888, and 1908). The Excel file is organised into separate sheets corresponding to each year and includes selected technical and service-related characteristics of ships in operation at those dates (year of construction, tonnage, horsepower). The dataset was compiled through the selective extraction and reorganisation of information from historical sources. The data have been standardised and reformatted to facilitate comparative analysis of the evolution of the company’s fleet and its technical characteristics over time.
