资源简介:
The copper industry has existed for 20 centuries and is the oldest industrial process. Following the Iron Age, the advent of the Bronze Age led to the development and spread of copper production technology. Copper is one of the first metals used by humanity. The abundance of copper artifacts testifies to its widespread use. Copper was smelted to produce bronze and brass, and their compounds and alloys were used to craft items such as armor, coins, various jewelry, and more. The demand for metallic copper grows every year. The development of the automobile and aviation industries in the 20th century, and especially the advancement of electronics and energy in the early 21st century and their full integration into the national economy, have driven the demand for copper to an extremely high level. Of course, this raises the question of how much copper slag is stored in special locations as man-made waste, with a copper content almost twice that of polymetallic copper ores. However, it should be noted that some of this slag is processed in copper smelters and enrichment plants.
