Gold mining areas in Amazonia

This is a supplementary dataset to the manuscript: Daichendt N., Janovec P. J., Tobler W. M., Wittman F., Latrubesse M. E., Hastie A., Morandeira N., Householder E. J. (2025): Surge of peatland destruction by an advancing front of artisanal gold mining in Amazonia. Environmental Research Letters, 20, 044001. Pixel centroids of mined areas. Latitude (y) and longitude (x) use the WGS 84 datum. The columns ‘first’ and ‘last’ refer to the first and last years that we detected a large disturbance consistent with mining. We detected only a single disturbance for the overwhelming majority (96%) of points, where the values are identical.
