The Fe-Co-Ni thin film library dataset was co-developed by the University of Maryland and the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). It contains 921 samples covering the full compositional space of the Fe-Co-Ni ternary material system. The dataset comprehensively records the composition of each material, X-ray diffraction (XRD) patterns, and two functional magnetic properties: magnetic coercivity and Kerr rotation. During its development, data quality was ensured via expert analysis and data cleaning. This dataset is primarily utilized to evaluate and optimize active learning strategies for materials optimization and discovery, especially for the rapid identification of materials with optimal physical properties.
