The_characterisation_of_patient_derived_Acral_Melanoma_Cell_lines_RNAseq

Acral melanoma is a subtype of melanoma which can arise in the palms of the hands, soles of the feet or subungual regions. Despite being rare, it accounts for most of the melanoma diagnosis in African, Latin American and Asian populations. Compared to cutaneous melanoma, acral melanoma patients receive a worse prognosis due in part by the higher grade of tumours and lack of efficient treatment options. The main purpose of this study is to characterise acral melanoma cell lines derived from patient samples from Latin America in pursue of targets that can be exploited for treatment.
