This dataset originates from a cross-sectional study conducted in Chongqing, China, which aimed to investigate the prevalence, mutational patterns, and associated risk factors of drug resistance mutations (DRMs) in HIV-1 infected individuals experiencing low-level viremia (LLV; viral load 50-999 copies/mL) while on antiretroviral therapy (ART).The dataset comprises epidemiological, clinical, and viral gene sequence data from 210 LLV patients identified from a screened cohort of 4,941 ART-treated individuals. A combined genotypic strategy utilizing both plasma viral RNA and proviral DNA was successfully applied to 133 (63.33%) of these LLV patients. This approach enabled the amplification and sequencing of the HIV-1 protease, reverse transcriptase, and integrase gene regions. HIV-1 subtyping and DRM analysis were performed using the Stanford HIVdb algorithm and phylogenetic analysis methods.
