Replication package for: "Monetary and Fiscal Policy: Some New Monetarist Arithmetic"

This is the replication package for "Monetary and Fiscal Policy: Some New Monetarist Arithmetic." The code in this replication package constructs the analysis file from three public-use data sources: the Maddison Project Database 2023 release, the World Bank Global Inflation Database, and Romelli (2024) central bank independence data. The Stata code generates Table 1 and Table 2 of the paper. The MATLAB code generates Figure 2 of the paper. The replicator should expect the code to run in less than 10 minutes on a standard desktop or laptop computer after the required software and Stata package are installed.
