Bean leaves Dataset

Data DescriptionThis data set includes a collection of images of both healthy bean leaves and those affected by Coleoptera pests. The dataset comprises 531 RGB images with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, each approximately 519 KB (532,381 bytes) in JPEG format. These images were captured in bean fields located in various regions of the state of Zacatecas, Mexico.A Logitech C920 camera was used to capture the images under natural light conditions at midday, ensuring consistent and even illumination. The photographs were taken at a distance of approximately 170 cm from the ground, with the camera positioned at a 90 ° angle to the surface to maintain uniformity in the image capture process.Data selectionIn the data selection phase, the originally collected data set was refined to ensure that only images containing bean leaves were included. This step involved a meticulous review process in which images that did not feature bean leaves were identified and removed. For instance, images that primarily contained weeds or other nonrelevant objects were excluded from the dataset. After this cleaning process, the dataset was reduced from 531 to 508 images, ensuring that the remaining images were all relevant for the subsequent annotation and training phases.
