Pseudomonas savastanoi pv. savastanoi the causal agent of olive knot disease is unorthodox member of the P. syringae complex, causing aerial tumours instead of the foliar necrosis and cankers characteristic of most members of this genus. This study aimed to isolation, conventional tests, molecular characterization and phylogenetic analysis of P. savastanio pv. savastanio for the first time in Iraq after its prevalence in Duhok and Ninevah provinces, during 2021-2022.
