Threatened species conservation data - EPBC Act, ACF, TSX, TECs

This dataset compiles data regarding the population of threatened species in Australia since the enforcement of the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act in 1999. It comprises of three sources: The Threatened Species Index 2024 population trend, the TECs threatened species dataset by Olivares-Rojas, J., Cook, C. N., Duncan, D., & Walsh, J. C, and the Australian Conservation Foundation's findings on it's 10-year investigation of works approved under the EPBC Act. Included is a dataset of the processed data used to create the data visualisation charts for the article. Additional supporting information and citations in the article are not included. This dataset has a focus on using population and EPBC-related data to identify a generalised level of success of the Act. The data dates between 2000-2021 (TSX), 2012-2021 (ACF), and 2024 (TECs).
